GCSE Fine Art Coursework | Architecture
This is the second part of my GCSE Coursework in architecture. For this project I have based my architecture on a windmill I saw in Norfolk but with an Indian pattern twist. After creating a cushion for the first project, I decided to stick to a simple canvas for this next one. During my visit to Norfolk before I started the project, I collect rocks from a beach near the windmill's location. The main reason for this is, is because the architecture in the surrounding areas was made up of concrete and rocks/stones in the walls. Again, like the first project in Year 10, I created a study sheet of different architecture around the world, before creating different design compositions from the Indian patterns I had researched into as a sky element. I created samples of painting grass, and experimented with different media I could use on my final piece. I used the following: pearl lace as the window frames and mill parts, gold glitter as the outline of the windmill, acrylic paint for the Indian pattern and grass, Some paper craft flowers to represent flowers, gems for definition and rocks for the windmill structure.
